CHANDIGARH: The first Punjab Congress Workers’ Convention will initiate preparations for Lok Sabha elections, said party spokesperson Arshpreet Singh Khadial and state media coordinator Jaskaran Singh Kahlon.
During a press conference, Arshpreet Singh Khadial said, “The Punjab Congress workers and office bearers eagerly await the forthcoming convention as it presents an invaluable opportunity for them to glean insights from the esteemed leader, Mallikarjun Kharge, in anticipation of the imminent Lok Sabha elections.”
He further remarked, “The convention is poised to provide a platform for Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly, district presidents, block presidents, mandal presidents, committee members and workers to receive counsel and direction from Kharge. This signifies a momentous occasion for Punjab Congress, spotlighting the robust organizational framework established by the PPCC, extending to the grassroots level.”
Jaskaran Singh Kahlon added, “Upon assuming office as PPCC chief, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring encountered a weakened foundational structure within the Punjab Congress. Through diligent efforts and unwavering commitment, the PPCC chief has fostered structural integrity within the Punjab Congress.” He continued, “This convention marks the culmination of the relentless endeavours spearheaded by the PPCC chief, marking a historic milestone as the first of its kind in Punjab. After the convention, we will proceed to establish committee structures at the booth level under the stewardship of the PPCC chief.”
