Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday (July 18) visited former Union Minister for Defence and veteran Congress leader A.K. Antony at his residence in Thiruvananthapuram. Mr. Gandhi’s meeting with the veteran leader, who has in recent years moved away from active politics, was seen as a courtesy call. He was accompanied by Congress Working Committee member Ramesh Chennithala, AICC general secretary (organisation) K.C. Venugopal, United Democratic Front convenor Adoor Prakash, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Sunny Joseph and Deepa Dasmunshi, AICC general secretary in-charge of Kerala.
