K Raju, a close aide of Rahul Gandhi, will contest the Nellore seat in Andhra Pradesh, signifying the party decision that CWC members should contest the 2024 elections in what is a tough battle in many states. Raju, who resigned from the IAS towards the end of his career to join Congress, headed Rahul’s office for a few years when the latter was party president.
