Ajay Devgn, Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, director Raj Kumar Gupta and producers Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak attended the launch of the trailer of their film Raid 2 at a multiplex in Mumbai. Just outside the theatre, a wall was put up by the film’s marketing team and 3 videographers were invited to break the wall. They were handed over the hammer and they did the needful. Once the wall broke, the team of the film, which was standing on the other side, made a dramatic entry. This one-of-a-kind promotional strategy caught attention and became a talking point among the media. After this stint, the team of Raid 2 went upstairs, launched the trailer in the auditorium and then spoke to the press.

The attendees had a gala time as a journalist asked Ajay Devgn, “If you get a lot of black money, what will you do?”. Ajay was quite amused and before he could answer, the journalist added to his original question, “Or if you get (a lot of black money) from somewhere, what will you do?”
Ajay Devgn reasoned, “(Black money) aayega kahan se? Pehle woh bataiye. Why don’t you send black money to my house? Then, I’ll decide (laughs).”
The journalist then asked, “If a raid happens at Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan’s house, how will you manage?”
Ajay Devgn answered, “I am an officer in the film (and not in real life). I won’t be going to raid their houses. Hence, I don’t understand what am I supposed to manage? If there’s a raid in someone’s house, I’ll be at my residence. And if my house gets raided, they’ll be in their homes. Hence, we can’t really manage anything!”
Raid 2 releases in cinemas on May 1. The antagonist of the film is played by Riteish Deshmukh. Due to certain commitments, the actor was not present but he was spoken about by the makers at the event.
