Rashmika Mandanna is presently filming for the much-awaited movie Thama, starring alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. The Animal actress shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the night shoot for the film on her official Instagram.

Rashmika posted two pictures on her Instagram stories, one of which showed her resting in the car. She captioned, “Hmmmm…night shoots..how much I love night shoots..clearly ! @aditya_a_sarpatdar sir knows very well. #Thama.”
In another photo, Rashmika was spotted in her vanity holding a travel cup that said, “Thama night shoot.”
On a separate note, lead actor Ayushmann shared that the Thama shoot was briefly paused to celebrate India’s victory at the Champions Trophy.
Ayushmann took to Instagram and shared a video of him and his crew members watching the India vs New Zealand match on a phone.
Once India won the final, the actor and the Thama team began cheering and clapping. However, they gradually made their way back to the shoot location.
Ayushmann captioned the post, “Shoot ruk jaati hai jab India jeet jaata hai! #championstrophy2025 #winners #worldchampions #Thama.”
Described as a bloody love story, Thama is part of Maddock’s hit horror-comedy universe. The film is expected to deliver a captivating love story set against a dark and bloody backdrop.
Starring Ayushmann and Rashmika as the lead pair, Thama also includes Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in key roles.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, known for Munjya, the film’s story has been penned by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara.
The film follows a determined historian who explores ancient texts, uncovering terrifying truths about local vampire legends as supernatural forces rise. This journey not only reveals hidden history but also sparks a battle for the town’s very soul.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, Thama is set to be released in October 2025.
