Following its historic red-carpet premiere in Srinagar, Ground Zero was screened in Delhi on April 19 for a select audience, including BSF jawans and dignitaries. Among those present was Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, who attended the screening and interacted with the cast and crew.

Speaking after the screening, Prasad shared his thoughts on the film: “It is a very good film and very well presents the work that BSF people have done to eliminate terrorism in Kashmir. My greeting to all the filmmakers.”
Ahead of the Delhi premiere, Ground Zero made headlines for becoming the first film in 38 years to host a red-carpet screening in Srinagar, Kashmir. Held on April 18, the event was exclusively organized for BSF personnel and marked a significant moment for the cast, crew, and makers. Set against the backdrop of true events, the film draws inspiration from what is considered one of the BSF’s most significant operations in the last five decades.
Actor Emraan Hashmi, who plays BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, was present at the Delhi screening, alongside director Tejas Deoskar and co-producer Arhan Bagati. The team engaged with the BSF jawans following the screening, discussing the film’s themes and the research that went into portraying real-life challenges faced in the region.
Ground Zero has drawn attention for its intense trailer and grounded storytelling approach. The narrative delves into the complex realities of counter-terrorism operations in Kashmir, placing the BSF’s efforts at the forefront. The film is presented by Excel Entertainment, with Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar serving as producers. Co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Sundeep C Sidhwani, Arhan Bagati, Talisman Films, Abhishek Kumar, and Nishikant Roy, it is set to release in cinemas on April 25, 2025.
