The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has found herself in another controversy after a new report by the Hollywood Reporter alleged that she instills fear in her staff, with one source even calling her a “dictator in high heels” who has reduced “grown men to tears.”
“Everyone’s terrified of Meghan. She belittles people, she doesn’t take advice. They’re both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently.Harry is a very, very charming person — no airs at all — but he’s very much an enabler. And she’s just terrible,” the report stated citing a source close to the couple.
Additionally, another source further said that Markle is absolutely relentless. The source described her as someone who “marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders. I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears.”
The couple has witnessed high staff turnover over the years, with Markle’s top aide and private secretary leaving in 2021, and their chief of staff resigning after just three months on the job last month.
The report follows a prominent royal expert’s assertion that the former actress regrets the manner in which her dramatic departure from the royal family unfolded four years ago.
However, this is not the first time Markle has faced criticism for her treatment of employees. In 2018, Buckingham Palace investigated her for “bullying behavior” toward two royal aides, although the findings were never released. Markle dismissed the claims as a “calculated smear campaign.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal duties and relocated to California in 2020, triggering a major ongoing rift, particularly with Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales.
According to royal expert and commentator Kinsey Schofield, who spoke to Fox News, “Meghan does regret certain statements that she made.” Schofield explained that Markle’s comments were not received as she had anticipated, and some of them have had unintended consequences.
“She and Prince Harry deeply regret the royal racist controversy. Meghan wanted the takeaway from their Oprah interview to be about her mental health,” Schofield added, suggesting that Markle also regretted her interview with the Cut.
