BLACKPINK’s Rosé is on another streak of record-breaking at the Billboard charts!
For the week ending December 21, Rosé’s newest song “toxic till the end,” from her debut solo studio album ‘rosie’, debuted on Billboard’s Hot 100 at No. 90. This is her third solo entry on the list. The song joins Rosé’s collaboration with Bruno Mars, “APT.,” which remains strong at No. 20 in its eighth consecutive week on the Hot 100.
These two tracks were simultaneously charting, making Rosé the first female K-pop soloist to achieve this. On the other hand, on Billboard’s Artist 100, she set another milestone at No. 4 as the highest-ranked female K-pop soloist ever on the chart.
On Billboard’s charts worldwide, “APT.” leads on, taking its eight straight week at No. 1 on the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. By doing this, it overthrows BTS Jungkook’s “Seven”‘s eight weeks at No. 1 for the highest weeks of a K-pop song, total. In total, eight of Rosé songs from ‘rosie’ debuted in the Global 200 and Global Excl.U.S. charts. “Toxic till the end” started at No. 15 and No. 6 on those charts, while other tracks like “number one girl” and “drinks or coffee” debuted well too.
On the Radio Songs chart, Rosé became the first female K-pop soloist to enter the top 20, with “APT.” climbing to No. 20. The track also maintained its position at No. 11 on the Pop Airplay chart and No. 3 on the Digital Song Sales chart.
In Addition to her lists, ‘rosie’ opened at number three on the Billboard 200, thus marking the first time for any K-pop solo artist being female that she made the chart’s top three. At the same time, she took the No. 3 spot on both Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts.
Great achievement to Rosé with this milestone!
