Princess Kate Middleton who is battling cancer away from the public eye once laid her mind bare about her thoughts of becoming the Queen one day. The footage from a 2013 engagement surfaced on TikTok and went viral as her fans want a speedy recovery for the princess of Wales so that she can join her royal duties soon.
An elderly lady — at the 2013 event — shook Kate’s hands and told her, “I’m waiting for you to be queen”.”You’ll be waiting an awfully long time,” Kate said spontaneously long before the death of Queen Elizabeth II. It was just two years into her marriage but today she is the second-most senior female member of the monarchy second to Queen Camilla.\
When William becomes King, Kate will take on the title of queen consort denoting that she would be queen by virtue of being married to a king and not monarch in her own right. By tradition, the “consort” is dropped soon after accession, with Kate likely thereafter to be known as “Queen Kate” or officially “Queen Catherine.” This was how Camilla became Queen during her accession in 2022.
Kate and William’s children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will return to the Lambrook School in Bracknell as the summer ends. According to royal insiders, as the children return to their school routine, Kate will have time for herself, her projects and her health.
As Kate’s husband had a frosty reunion with Harry, it is reported that Kate wants William to mend things with Harry. Kate and Prince Harry were incredibly close once but the rupture between the brothers distanced Harry and Kate as well. With the reconciliation between the brothers — which could be the next big thing for the royal family — they will have “one less cloud hanging over”, a Royal expert suggested.
But at the same time Kate is loyal to her husband and understands why William has not mended the rift and so is unlikely to put any pressure on her husband over this.
