A Norway court on Monday acquitted Gjert Ingebrigtsen of abusing his son, Olympic champion runner Jakob Ingebrigtsen, but convicted him and handed him a 15-day suspended sentence for assaulting his daughter on one occasion, lawyers said.
The 59-year-old, who used to coach his son, was accused of physical and psychological violence against Jakob and his sister Ingrid, 18, from 2008 to 2022. He denied the charges.
