Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan suffered multiple injuries after being attacked with a knife by an intruder during an alleged burglary attempt at his Mumbai residence in the early hours of Thursday, January 16, 2025. CCTV footage captured the unidentified assailant repeatedly stabbing the actor.
Lilavati Hospital’s COO Dr. Uttamani revealed that “Saif sustained 6 injuries, 2 are minor, 2 intermediate and 2 deep injuries.

One of the injuries is on the back which is close to the spine. A neurosurgeon is involved in the surgery”.
However, Saif’s team has assured that the surgery was successful and the actor was out of danger. Further Kareena Kapoor Khan has also said in a statement that his family was fine and requested, “the media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the police are already doing their due investigations.” Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police have taken several suspects into custody in connection with the attempted robbery and are actively investigating the shocking incident.

The woman, who was accompanied by her younger daughter, was holding a placard that featured a poster of Saif Ali Khan’s iconic film Hum Tum. The woman spoke passionately about the negative impact that films depicting violence are having on society.
He emphasized that Bollywood was known for its heartwarming romantic movies which were loved by all. She said, “When love stories were made, India was much happier.” She expressed her sadness at the incident and likened Bollywood to her family. She said, “Bollywood has been like my family, and it feels like someone is attacking my own family.”

The woman further added that the violence being romanticized in Bollywood films, is detrimental to society. She said, “Watching violent movies repeatedly will make every common man start carrying knives. Just like Saif sir was attacked today, tomorrow it could happen to me as well”.
