A septuagenarian was killed after a bus ran over him at at Model School Junction on Tuesday night.
Dorai Raj, a former librarian at the University of Kerala, was killed after the private bus ran over him. Mr. Dorai Raj, a resident of Thamalam, was riding a scooter, the Cantonment Police said.
It is not clear how the accident occurred as it was dark and no witnesses could be found. The police said SmartCity CCTV footage will be examined to determine the sequence of events.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to Government Medical College mortuary.
