JAMMU: Army and J&K Police Thursday launched a joint cordon and search operation in Nardi area of Maira Mandarian in Jammu’s Akhnoor sector following an input on movement of suspected terrorists.
According to sources, a woman saw two suspicious persons and informed her family members, who alerted local police. The search operation continued till late evening, but no suspected terrorist was traced.
Maira Mandarian area is adjacent to Jammu’s Reasi district, where terrorists had recently attacked a bus of pilgrims, killing 9 passengers and injuring 41 others.
