Shah accused Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray of abandoning the principles of his father, Bal Thackeray
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday called the opposition-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance as an “Aurangzeb fan club” while addressing a rally in poll-bound Maharashtra.
The senior BJP leader also singled out former ally and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, asking, “Who are you sitting with today?”. He further accused Thackeray of abandoning the principles of his father, the late Bal Thackeray.
At a rally in the state’s Dhule district, Shah said, “Aghadi (Maha Vikas Aghadi) only wants to do appeasement. To gain power, Uddhav ji has forgotten all the principles of Balasaheb Thackeray. Uddhav babu, who are you sitting with today? Today, you are with those who objected to the renaming of Aurangabad, the construction of Ram temple, the abrogation of Article 370 and also to surgical strike against Pakistan.”

He further added: “There are two clear sides in front of people of Maharashtra – Aghadi, which is the Aurangzeb fan club, and the other is Mahayuti which is following principles of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Veer Savarkar.”
If MVA Wins, State Will Turn ‘ATM’ For Congress
At another poll rally in Chalisgaon, Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district, Shah claimed that if the Maha Vikas Aghadi wins the upcoming November 20 assembly elections, the state will become an “ATM” for the Congress party.
“They (MVA) will withdraw funds from Maharashtra by using the state’s resources and send the money to Delhi,” Shah stated.
He contrasted this with the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, stating, “If the BJP-led Mahayuti forms the government, the Modi administration will ensure greater development for Maharashtra.”
Shah also expressed confidence that the BJP would form the next government in Jharkhand and that the Mahayuti would come to power in Maharashtra. “This is because Congress makes false promises and misleads people,” he added.
