In a recent interview with Lehren Retro, Vijayta Pandit discussed the struggles Avitesh Shrivastava is encountering in the film industry and made a heartfelt appeal for help from Shah Rukh Khan. For the unversed, Vijayta Pandit is a former actor and wife of late music composer Aadesh Shrivastava.

Vijayta Pandit’s Plea for Support
In her interview, Vijayta Pandit expressed frustration and disappointment over the lack of support her son is receiving. She shared, “He (Avitesh) works so hard, he has recorded music with Akon and French Montana, among others. But unfortunately, my son is not getting support or direction in the film industry. People from the industry know that today Aadesh is not there, they should help my son.”
Vijayta also recalled Shah Rukh Khan’s past support during Aadesh’s illness. “You won’t believe when Aadesh was in the hospital, Shah Rukh Khan used to come and meet. One day before he died, Aadesh held Shah Rukh’s hand, when he could not even talk, and gestured pointing towards our son that he should look after him.”
Challenges and Unfulfilled Promises
According to Vijayta, despite Shah Rukh Khan’s previous assurances, she has been unable to reach him. “Today, I am just not able to contact Shah Rukh; the number that was given to my son is not working. I just want to remind Shah Rukh that he was a good friend of Aadesh, and this is the time we need you.”
She added that her son, who is working on a film titled Sir Ek Friday for an OTT release, needs just a little push to advance his career. Vijayta suggested that Shah Rukh Khan could provide this support by involving Avitesh in a project under his production banner, Red Chillies Entertainment. “Shah Rukh Khan can make a film with my son under his production banner Red Chillies Entertainment. He (Avitesh) is such a good actor… he is working so hard. I want to remind Shah Rukh that this is the time, come and help my son.”
Aadesh Shrivastava’s Legacy and Shah Rukh Khan’s Role
Vijayta also highlighted the role Shah Rukh Khan’s colleagues, including music composers Jatin-Lalit, have played in his career. “My brothers, music composer duo Jatin-Lalit, have played a big role in his success. They gave him superhit songs after superhit songs in films like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), among others.”
She concluded with a plea for Shah Rukh Khan to fulfill his promise and assist her family, given their contributions to his career. “Shah Rukh is a very sweet man, he came twice to see Aadesh in the last stages of his cancer. Now that he has promised, I want to ask him to help my son; he needs you; he does not have a father.”
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh has not responded to Vijayta’s appeal as of now.
