VISAKHAPATNAM: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee’s new president YS Sharmila’s political campaign would start from Icchapuram town and cover the entire AP. The new chief of APCC will conduct review meetings in Icchapuram, Parvathipuram, and Vizianagaram on Tuesday. Sharmila is visiting the district for the first time in ten years and she conducted Padayatra when her CM brother was in prison.
She would reach Ranastalam in Srikakulam district at 7.30 am on Tuesday from Vizag and pay tributes to YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s Vijaya Stupam, which was unveiled after YSR concluded his 1500 km padayatra in 2003 before the general elections, in which Congress defeated TDP. Later, she would address the public in a meeting. Sharmila’s political campaign would end by January 31 by covering three districts every day.
