MUMBAI: In an attack on Speaker Rahul Narwekar, BJP and CM Eknath Shinde‘s Shiv Sena, Sena (UBT) on Thursday alleged in its mouthpiece Saamna that the Shinde faction was born from BJP’s test tube a year-and-a-half ago, reports Chaitanya Marpakwar.
Saamna said “no legal decision was expected from an illegally installed Speaker.” It alleged that by handing Balasaheb Thackeray’s Shiv Sena over to “an unscrupulous group,” the Speaker was “dishonest” with Maharashtra and added the verdict was a blow to Maharashtra with the help of Delhi and the Constitution and law had been overturned. Sena (UBT) said Narwekar has given a decision that has “blackened the face of democracy in the world and he missed an opportunity to make history.”
“The Speaker says there are no documents, evidence to confirm the claim that Shiv Sena is Uddhav Thackeray‘s, Sena does not have the post of ‘paksha pramukh’ in its constitution, so he has no authority to take decisions about the party. But then what documents of Shiv Sena’s ownership and ideology did the Speaker get from the Shinde faction which was born from BJP’s test tube?” Saamna editorial asked.
