Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Kailas Patil has alleged that the Maharashtra government, led by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, stalled development projects worth more than ₹250 crore in Dharashiv district despite receiving administrative approval.

In a post on X, Mr. Patil criticised the government for failing to implement promised development initiatives, saying that lofty claims were made about transforming the district, especially during elections, but no progress has been seen on the ground.

The MLA also targeted the Chief Minister over his past remarks. “On one hand, he says, ‘I am not Uddhav Thackeray to halt ongoing works,’ but on the other, development projects in Dharashiv have been put on hold. This exposes the gap between his words and actions,” he said.

‘Projects put on hold’

According to Mr. Patil, the Dharashiv district collector had earlier received a directive from the State government instructing officials to put the administrative sanction of these projects on hold until further notice.

He further accused the previous Eknath Shinde-led government of halting projects worth crores and claimed that the situation has remained unchanged for the past three years.

Stressing the need for swift development in Dharashiv, which has been designated as an aspirational district, Mr. Patil warned that the people would hold the government accountable for neglecting the region’s progress.
