PILIBHIT: A 35-year-old man from Uttarakhand’s US Nagar along with his brother and father were booked on Saturday evening for allegedly stripping and parading his wife at home after beating her in front of her three children. As per the 33-year-old woman’s complaint at Pilibhit Kotwali, her husband used to beat her regularly in an inebriated state.
The woman, a resident of UP’s Pilibhit, in the FIR further stated that she was married 15 years ago in US Nagar, and she kept facing the “routine torture” by her husband only for the sake of her children. “Around 11am on Feb 6, my husband, his elder brother and their father stripped, paraded and thrashed me. I somehow managed to escape,” she stated.
The woman returned to her parental house with her brother, and subsequently filed a police complaint. The three accused allegedly reached her parental house in Pilibhit on Feb 7, “beat her parents and threatened the family”.
