Shopkeeper in Nabha assaulted on way to home, robbed of Rs 2 lakh cash, two-wheeler | Chandigarh News

PATIALA: In yet another case of snatching in Nabha, two to three unidentified men attacked a shopkeeper and robbed allegedly Rs 2 lakh cash amount, and his two-wheeler while he was returning home on Wednesday night.
The police said that the case against three unidentified accused was registered and the probe was being conducted. The police revealed that the accused robbers had also assaulted the victim identified as Acchru Ram, who runs a grocery shop in Nabha.
“The accused attacked him with broken part of a bike following which victim Acchru was injured and hospitalized where he has undergone multiple stiches on his head. The accused fled with his belongings including two – wheeler besides looting Rs 2 lakh cash amount stored in his two-wheeler storage box. We have registered case against the accused under sections 323, 341, and 379 -B of IPC on the complaint of Acchru Kumar. The accused will be nabbed soon and put behind the bars”, said Station House Officer Nabha Kotwali, GS Samrao.
Meanwhile, some residents of Basantpura area where the incident took place have claimed that in the past one week several incidents of theft-attempt and loot were made of which CCTV footages was also provided to the police but there was no action or patrolling done by the police in the area otherwise the incident of loot from Shopkeeper could have been averted.
