In Tamil Nadu’s Erode, officials launched an inquiry against a headmaster and a commerce teacher of an aided school.
The inquiry follows allegations that the headmaster, Arumugam, slapped a Class XII student five times after he questioned the teacher, Gokilavani, for erasing lessons before all students had noted them down. The student is now hospitalised.
