Slovakian swimmer Tamara Potocka collapsed after completing her women’s 200 metres individual medley heat at the Paris Olympics on Friday and is now under medical assessment.
The incident took place at La Defense Arena, where Potocka was seen struggling after her race.
Medical staff swiftly responded, carrying her away on a stretcher with an oxygen mask on her face.
Potocka had finished seventh in her heat with a time of 2 minutes 14.20 seconds, which was not enough to advance her to the semi-finals.
