Congress on Saturday hit back at PM Modi over his remarks that the party’s manifesto bore a Muslim League imprint, saying the PM “does not know his history”.
It also accused BJP of practising “politics of divisiveness”.
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said, “PM does not know his history. It was, in fact, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, president of Hindu Mahasabha then, who was part of a coalition govt in Bengal with Muslim League in early 1940s.”
