UDUPI: Deputy Commissioner Vidya Kumari K urged students to become ambassadors for dengue prevention by actively spreading awareness within their communities. She stressed the importance of proactive steps to control dengue and other vector-borne diseases to build a healthier Udupi district.Speaking at a human chain awareness rally held recently at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Pragathinagar, as part of National Dengue Day celebrations, the Deputy Commissioner said, “Dengue is not just a fever; it is a viral disease spread by infected Aedes mosquitoes, which breed in stagnant water.
