Rasika Ranjana Sabha will be holding its annual Tamil drama festival this year from December 14 to 25 with 12 outstation troupes due to perform daily.
The festival will begin with the play Sikkal Sivaraman, directed by S.L. Nanu, on Saturday. Maveerar Maruthu (Ajay Entertainers), Karaikal Ammaiyar (directed by V.S. Sridharan), Pattanathil Bhootham and Meendum Thanikudithanam are among the other plays that are due to be staged. The theatre festival will conclude with PMG Mayurapriya’s drama Big Boss that examines the pressures of succeeding in a marks-based educational system.
All shows are free and will begin at 6.30 p.m. at the R.R. Sabha’s F.G.N. Hall.
