CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu governor R N Ravi, chief minister M K Stalin, deputy chief minister Udayanidhi Stalin, PMK founder S Ramdoss, TNCC president K Selvaperunthagai and others condoled the demise of industrialist Ratan Tata.
In his condolence message, the governor said, “Deeply saddened at the passing away of Shri Ratan Tata, a great nationalist, an ideal industrialist, and above all, a human being par excellence.His departure is a huge national loss. My heartfelt condolences to his near and dear ones. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti!”
Stalin said, “Deeply saddened by the passing away of Thiru Ratan Tata, a true titan of Indian industry and a beacon of humility and compassion. His visionary leadership not only shaped the Tata Group but also set a global benchmark for ethical business practices. His relentless dedication to nation-building, innovation, and philanthropy has left an indelible mark on millions of lives. India has lost a giant, but his legacy will continue to inspire generations.”
Udayanidhi said, “I am deeply saddened by the passing away of Thiru Ratan Tata. His unwavering commitment to ethical business practices and societal upliftment set a standard that will resonate for generations. Thiru Tata’s contributions to our nation and its people are immeasurable, and his legacy will continue to inspire millions.”
AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami said, “Deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing away of Tata companies chairman emeritus Mr Ratan Tata. Well-known for is professional ethics, philanthropy, and social service, Mr Tata was an inspiration to many. His demise is a great loss to the nation.”
BJP state president K Annamalai tweeted, “Deeply saddened to know, Shri Ratan Tata avl, who gave a new meaning to charity and philanthropy throughout his living life; an ethical business leader who had always put fair practices and the country’s interest over any short-term needs; who had imprinted his strong unshakeable values on the illustrious Tata Group with its strong corporate governance principles is no more with us!”
AMMK general secretary TTV Dhinakaran said, “The demise of Mr Ratan Tata, who transformed India-centric Tata into a global business with his visionary thinking, is a loss for the Indian industry.”
Selvaperunthagai said, “Ratan Tata made donations to the tune of Rs 8 lakh crore, for education, healthcare, rural development, free hospitals, and free schools. He was an outstanding philanthropist and industrialist.”
PMK founder S Ramdoss said, “India’s history in trading and liberalisation of the economy cannot be written without Ratan Tata. He impacted the life of every Indian and will continue to always be a part of Indian history.”
In his condolence message, NTK coordinator Seeman termed Ratan Tata as “a visionary leader who introduced new thoughts into the industrial sector and achieved great heights.”
