Telangana Court Sentences Drunken Drivers to Clean Hospital Premises |

HYDERABAD: Caught in drunken driving, 27 motorists in Mancherial town in Telangana were asked to clean up the premises of a govt hospital as punishment.
The traffic police in Mancherial town produced the motorists before the local court. Following the orders of the court, the motorists began to serve their seven-day sentence.
They will clean up the premises of the Matha Sishu Aroya Kendram (Mother and Child Healthcare Centre) at the Govt General Hospital in Mancherial town.
Following the sentencing on November 6, the traffic police took them to the hospital on November 7. The motorists began cleaning up the premises of the hospital by first removing weeds and wild grass. They used ladders to clean the outer portion of the building on Thursday.
The motorists will move on to cleaning up the entire premises for the next six days to serve as punishment. The local traffic police are supervising the work that the motorists have to do, giving them specific tasks to be completed one after the other.
