Director Balwinder Singh Janjua’s TERA KYA HOGA LOVELY is a social drama cum romance. Sombir (Randeep Hooda) is a police sub-inspector whose mother is eager to get him married. She rejects the proposal of Lovely (Ileana D’Cruz) because of her skin color. When her photo was shown to Sombir’s family,… it was brightened through Photoshop. Hence, her mother feels cheated. Later, a guy agrees to marry Lovely but asks for double dowry. Lovely, who is against crimes like dowry, asks her friend Guggu (Karan Kundrra) to steal the dowry items. He succeeds and a police complaint is made. Co-incidentally, the case is given to Sombir. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
