Tourists’ safety: SP chairs meeting of owners of homestays and resorts

With the State government issuing safety guidelines for homestays and resorts in the aftermath of the Hampi incident, the Mysuru district police on Thursday convened a meeting of the owners and the representatives of homestays, resorts, and hotels here to sensitise them on the guidelines that are to be complied with for ensuring the safety of tourists/guests during their stay in their properties.

Superintendent of Police Vishnuvardhan presided over the meeting. Senior police officers from the district were also present. At the meeting, safety measures that are to be taken by the homestays and resorts were discussed.

The representatives of these establishments were told to take necessary precautions during the stay of domestic and foreign tourists in their properties.

Additional Superintendents of Police Mallik S. and L. Nagesh were present.
