TIRUPATI: A couple from Haryana were found capturing images of the Seshachalam forests using a drone camera along the Tirumala ghat road on Friday.
Flying private drones at Tirumala is strictly prohibited and the security agencies as well as the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams vigilance and security department is entrusted with the task of prohibiting the use of drone cameras anywhere on the hill town.
While how the Haryana couple managed to pass through the security check at Alipiri with the drone camera in their possession remains a mystery, passersby informed the couple that it was prohibited to fly private drones at Tirumala and made them bring down the drone camera.
Meanwhile, after the videos of the incident went on various social media platforms on Friday, TTD‘s vigilance department seized the drone camera from the Haryana couple and ordered an enquiry into the episode.
The vigilance department clarified that the nano-drone camera was hard to detect during the security checks at Tirumala.
