MUZAFFARNAGAR: A reward of Rs 25,000 was announced for the arrest of mafia don Sushil Mooch by the Muzaffarnagar police on Wednesday. In July last year, the cops had seized properties worth Rs 90 crore belonging to Mooch.
There are 49 cases of robbery, murder and some under the Goonda Act registered against him in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Gaziabad, Dehradun, Haridwar etc.Mooch has been on the run for months in connection with a gangster act case, police said.
Since 2003, Sushil, along with his maternal uncle’s son, has been involved in illegal activities like making and selling spurious liquor, using fake labels and holograms on the bottles.
Muzaffarnagar senior superintendent of police Abhishekh Singh said, “A reward of Rs 25,000 has been announced for the arrest of Sushil Mooch, a mafia don. He was declared a fugitive by the gangster court.”
