During the press meet, Dhawan expressed his excitement about Khan’s role in Baby John. “There’s nothing like this character that’s been seen before,” he said, highlighting the originality of the character crafted by filmmaker Atlee specifically for Khan. “The impact of his role will be long-lasting,” he added, without divulging too many details. Dhawan’s enthusiasm suggests that the cameo will be more than just a fleeting moment in the narrative.

The Bhediya actor spoke fondly of his experience of working with Salman Khan, calling it a privilege to share screen space with the Bollywood megastar. “I think whenever you get a chance to work with such a big superstar, a megastar, such a magnanimous human being, it’s amazing,” Dhawan remarked. He also hinted that audiences would be in for a treat with Khan’s performance.
About Baby John
Directed by A. Kaleeswaran, Baby John tells the gripping story of DCP Satya Verma IPS, portrayed by Varun Dhawan, who goes underground in Kerala to raise his daughter, Khushi, away from a tumultuous past. However, unresolved conflicts resurface, leading to intense drama and action.
The film also marks the Hindi debut of acclaimed actress Keerthy Suresh, who stars alongside Dhawan, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and Rajpal Yadav. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Murad Khetani, Atlee, and Priya Atlee, the movie promises a blend of emotional depth and high-octane action.
Besides Salman Khan, the movie features cameos by Sanya Malhotra, Diljit Dosanjh, and S. Thaman. The trailer, released a few days ago, offered a glimpse into Varun Dhawan’s powerful portrayal of John, a determined police officer trying to reconcile his past. Baby John is slated for a theatrical release on December 25, 2024, making it one of the most anticipated films of the holiday season.
