Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said on Monday that Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar could contest Akola Lok Sabha seat in Vidarbha. Raut said his party and VBA have already forged a tie-up.
Raut said his party was of the view that VBA is a part of MVA. “The formal induction of VBA into the MVA fold will take place in the near future,” said Raut. Around six meetings have been held with Prakash Ambedkar. NCP chief Sharad Pawar has also held talks with Ambedkar. “There has been consensus among the MVA partners that Prakash Ambedkar will contest Akola Lok Sabha seat in the general elections. Moreover, the discussion about which seats VBA will contest is also in the final stage,” he claimed.
