BHOPAL: Three miscreants allegedly attacked an egg vendor late on Friday night in Ashoka Garden over a dispute regarding payment and stabbed him. The injured man was hospitalised.
Ashoka Garden police said that a case has been registered on charges of attempt to commit culpable homicide.
Police said that complainant Durvijay Singh Chauhan, 48, a resident of Ashoka Garden Industrial Area, runs an egg cart.On Friday night, the three accused identified as Kalu alias Abhishek, Vinod, and Vivek Tiwari, ate eggs but paid Rs 10 less than the due amount.
When Durvijay asked for the remaining amount, the three argued and left the spot. However, they returned and assaulted him. One of the attackers struck Durvijay on the head with a knife. As nearby residents gathered, the trio fled the spot.
Seriously injured, Durvijay was rushed to a hospital. Search is on to nab the three, police said.
