Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu expressed his displeasure on people calling Ramayana-Mahabharata a ‘mythology‘ through a video on social media. Vishnu recently had an interaction with fans in which many people were asking him when his ‘mythological’ film ‘Kannaappa‘ is releasing?
Following it, Vishnu Manchu shared a video expressing his displeasure over the word ‘Mythology’ used for Ramayana-Mahabharata.In the video he said, ‘Mythological means something which does not have historical evidence, something which is not true and is imaginary. NASA has confirmed the remains of Ram Setu bridge from Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu to Sri Lanka. He said that when NASA has confirmed, why are these epics still called ‘mythology’. Vishnu seemed angry that people do not believe in their culture. He further said, ‘Why don’t we believe in our culture? Knowing your history is one thing and accepting it is another.

Talking about his film ‘Kannaappa’, Vishnu said, ‘Kannaappa is a true story, Sri Kalahasti Temple stands to testify to it. We consider Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati as our parents. These temples and Vayulingams have been around for thousands of years, this is not mythology. This is a true story. Kannappa is the true story of the greatest devotee of Lord Shiva. He further said that he is excited to introduce people to the world of Lord Kannappa in his film. He finally concluded by saying that know your history, but also trust it. Be proud of who you are.
