During Los Angeles Knight RidersMajor League Cricket (MLC) match against San Francisco Unicorns on Sunday, Andre Russell could have easily contested that the maximum he hit to go from 30 to 36 deserved more than six runs. It was such a huge hit that Russell’s teammate Shakib Al Hasan could only smile in disblief.
Measuring a gigantic 107 metres, the ball got parked outside the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.
It was Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf bowling the final over of the Knight Riders’ innings; and off the third ball of the over, West Indian allrounder Russell launched into a short ball that angled in, smashed it over wide long-on and the power behind the stroke saw the ball sailing over the roof.
In his reaction, Shakib and some of the other Knight Riders’ players in the dugout were left in disablief.

But despite Russell’s 25-ball 40 not out, the Knight Riders could put up only 165 for 6 on the board.
The chase turned out be easy meal for the Unicorns.
Their opener from New Zealand, Finn Allen, smashed 63 off 37 balls and added 116 runs for the second wicket with Matthew Short (58 off 26 balls) to lead their team’s six-wicket win with 4.2 overs to spare.
