NEW DELHI: A group of Gujaratis found themselves stranded on a picturesque road in Uttarakhand due to a landslide. Instead of letting the situation dampen their spirits, they decided to make the most of their time by engaging in a lively garba dance.
The vibrant performance was captured on video and shared on social media by Viraj Gorasia, quickly gaining viral attention.
“Currently stuck somewhere in Uttarakhand due to some landslide & a random group of Gujjus thought playing Garba is the best that they can do,” Gorasia wrote in the caption accompanying the post on X.
The footage showcases the group’s enthusiasm and joy as they dance their way through the unexpected delay while travelling to Gangotri.

The group’s dedication to their cultural traditions and their ability to find happiness in the face of adversity drew praise from many social media users. One user commented, “Navratri ki taiyari,” suggesting that the group was already preparing for the upcoming Navratri festival.
Another user remarked, “That’s why the word Vibrant suits with that state,” acknowledging the state’s reputation for its lively and colourful celebrations.
Reacting to the video, another wrote, “I can imagine what we gujjus would do when the Titanic is sinking.” “Food & Fun is never short with Gujjus,” an X user said.
