The mysterious eighth member recently took a heartwarming turn, as RM was the leader of BTS who spoke about it in the 2022 BTS Fan Kit. There, in this touching message, RM said appreciation to the ARMYs because they stood by their side through it all, and their emotions bound them even closer to the music. He wrote, “To ARMYs, the eighth member of BTS, thank you so much.”From this message, it is confirmed that the real eighth member of BTS has always been their fan.

Currently, six are finishing their military service and are likely to be discharged by 2025.
