Former India captain Mithali Raj is set to leave her role as mentor of the Women’s Premier League franchise Gujarat Giants ahead of the WPL 2025 Auction, according to media reports.
Mithali reportedly had signed a three-year contract with the side but that is set to end early. In the first two seasons of the WPL, the Giants finished last on the table with four points on both occasions.
In November, the former batter was appointed the mentor of Women’s Cricket Operations by the Andhra Cricket Association on a three-year contract with the “specific objective of scouting and grooming young talent across the State”, Sportstar had reported.

Exiting the franchise along with Mithali would be the Giants’ bowling coach Nooshin Al Khadeer, the reports suggest. Nooshin is also currently the head coach of the women’s U-19 team.
The Women’s Premier League 2025 Auction will be held on December 15 with 120 players set to go under the hammer.
