The Jubilee Hills police have arrested Prasad Behera, a 38-year-old prominent Telugu YouTuber, actor, and writer, following a sexual harassment complaint lodged by a co-actor.
According to the police, a 32-year-old actress accused Prasad of subjecting her to repeated harassment over several months. In her complaint, she alleged that Prasad misbehaved with her on multiple occasions, including during the shooting of a web series. The actress stated that he had inappropriately touched her during filming and later made abusive and derogatory comments both on the sets and in private.
The harassment allegedly began a year ago when the two were working together on a web series. Despite enduring the misconduct for months, the actress decided to file a complaint after the behaviour persisted.
Acting on her complaint, the Jubilee Hills police arrested Prasad Behera and booked him under relevant sections of the law. He was presented before a local court, which remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days.
