Yash Raj Films (YRF) has set social media abuzz by sharing an exciting fan-made video that gives a glimpse into the world of Aditya Chopra spyverse with the much-anticipated action thriller, War 2 joining the same very soon. The film, which is set to hit cinemas on August 14, 2025, marks the return of Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir, who will face off against South superstar Jr. NTR, setting the stage for an electrifying showdown.
YRF drops cool fan-made video on War 2 as it hypes excitement among fans
The fan-made video, which YRF shared on their official social media handle, showcases the massive hype surrounding War 2. It showcases a chat between the members of the universe which not only includes Kabir but also other spies like Pathaan and his leading lady Rubai, Tiger and his leading lady Zoya, among others. Also showcasing Alia Bhatt, Sharvari who are set to join the universe as spies in Alpha along with some old and new members, the group chat window showcases a fun banter between these members, but they are surprised when each one of them gets removed with Jr NTR finally joining the chat as X Master – leaving everyone, including Kabir shocked.
YRF, known for engaging with fans and keeping the excitement alive, added to the buzz by acknowledging the video and teasing the mayhem that awaits audiences. Their response further fuelled anticipation among fans of the War franchise, Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr., and the larger YRF Spy Universe. Speaking of the film, the production house promises that the film will feature high-octane action and gripping narrative.

War 2 is the second installment in the War franchise and the fifth entry in the successful YRF Spy Universe, which includes Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3—all of which have been massive box office hits. With each film pushing the boundaries of action and storytelling, expectations for War 2 are at an all-time high.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is expected to deliver high-octane sequences, spectacular stunts, and a gripping battle between two powerhouse performers, Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr, marking the latter’s Bollywood debut along with Kiara Advani also joining the franchise as the new female spy.
