Samsung is bringing Galaxy S24 series’ AI features to these older smartphones

Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 series of smartphones with a bunch of AI features. The South Korean company has now announced that the company’s One UI 6.1 will bring Galaxy AI to more smartphones and tablets.
With the One UI 6.1 update, the following popular Galaxy AI features will be rolled out to more users around the world

  • Chat Assist
  • Interpreter
  • Live Translate
  • Note Assist
  • Transcript Assist
  • Browsing Assist
  • Generative Edit
  • Edit Suggestion
  • AI-Generated Wallpaper

These Samsung smartphones and tablets will get Galaxy AI features

Samsung said that Galaxy AI will expand to the Galaxy S22 series, the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 foldable phones, and the Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets.The update will begin rolling out from early May on the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4 and the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
“Galaxy AI makes communication a bridge by offering features that deliver messages straightforwardly in any language. Travelling abroad no longer needs to be a daunting prospect with Interpreter converting speech into translated text on a split screen. Live Translate offers instant voice and text translations over phone calls, while Chat Assist helps users’ messages in different languages and adjust message tone,” the company said in an announcement.
Circle to Search with Google allows users to mark any text or image on the screen and make a Google search on the same. Note Assist helps users simplify organisation tasks with auto-formatting and summarisation features.
Reports of Samsung rolling out One UI 6.1 update to older models cropped up last week. It was claimed that Galaxy AI features may come to Samsung’s entire lineup of 2022 and 2021 flagship devices.
