Union home minister Amit Shah has told Mizoram CM Lalduhoma that “Myanmarese refugees” taking shelter in the state “will not be deported unless and until peace is restored in Myanmar”, the chief minister’s office said, quoting Shah. On Thursday afternoon, Lalduhoma had called on Shah at the latter’s office in Delhi. There are approximately 31,873 Myanmar refugees in Mizoram at present.
